Avaton Luxury Beach Resort - Relais & Chateaux (www.avaton.com) is seeking a skilled and passionate Sommelier to join our team.

As the Sommelier at Avaton Luxury Beach Resort, you will have the opportunity to showcase your expertise in wines and provide our guests with an exquisite wine selection. You will be responsible for curating and updating our wine list, organizing wine tastings, and assisting guests in choosing the perfect wine to complement their dining experience. With a comprehensive knowledge of wine, including its origins, flavors, and pairings, you will be able to guide guests through their wine journey and enhance their overall dining experience.

• Curate and update the wine list, ensuring a diverse selection of wines that complements our culinary offerings
• Conduct wine tastings and educate guests on the various characteristics, origins, and flavors of different wines
• Assist guests in selecting wines that pair well with their chosen dishes, considering their preferences and budget
• Provide detailed information about the wines on the menu, including origin, production, and vintages
• Maintain proper storage and handling of wines to preserve their quality and taste
• Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure seamless wine and food pairings
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, attending wine seminars, tastings, and industry events

• Proven working experience as a Sommelier in a luxury dining establishment
• Extensive knowledge of wines, including their regions, production methods, and flavors
• Strong understanding of food and wine pairings
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service and create a memorable dining experience
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Professional certification as a Sommelier
• Ability to work in Greece / EU
